Tour of the lead mine Longvilly - Allerborn

It was early in the 19th century taht an inhabitant of Allerborn discovered a seam of lead at the place known as "Chifontaine" at Longvilly. The operations provided jobs for up to 200 people, of whom 115 were miners. Yet the site was not particularly dangerous.

Longvilly mine produced lead, iron sulphide and zinc, wich penetrated into sulphuric acid.
